- Prepare and position patients for imaging
- Place and adjust protective material and radiological films
- Adjust and utilize imaging equipment as needed for each image
- Develop images and prepare reports for physicians
- Utilize, adjust, and maintain complex machines and equipment
Radiology technicians may also prepare schedules and perform supervisory responsibilities.
Degree Options for Your Radiology Career
Typically, radiological technicians have an associate's degree in radiology, but certificate programs and bachelor's degree programs are also available. Professional certification is voluntary, but is increasingly required by employers.
